It all started with some great fabric.....and two college friends.
Sue and Gail, co-owners and founders of SeaCoast Bags were on a trip when Gail shared some fabric she had purchased in the Bahamas. They wanted to make a bag they had used on a boat so they began to sew. The Drawstring Ditty Bag first, Tote Bags next, pillows, table linens, and other accessories all sprang from the desire to use the batik fabric for products they could enjoy on the beach and off. Their friends and families loved the look and feel of their bags and found they could use them for their busy lives. Over time, they began to use other fabrics in order to expand their unique line of bags and accessories. Enjoy them at the beach... and beyond!

The Androsia Batik process utilizes hand made stamps dipped in hot wax and applied carefully to selected fabrics. Once the wax is dry, the fabric is dyed using specially mixed vibrant dyes. Hot water baths and drying in the Bahamian sun complete the fabric and create a unique look for SeaCoast bags and accessories.
